Job Specifications
Develop, Manage and supervise the team under landscaping and park projects
Assist the development team with the design of the park
Be responsible for advising on different indigenous and exotic trees and shrubs with a long term focus based on experience on their maturity effects and esthetic looks.
Create project budget and schedule for approval by management
Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
Obtain permits and licences from appropriate authorities
Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary constraints
Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
Evaluate cash flow reports, repair costs, risks, production rates etc
With the HSE Team, ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
Ensure adherence to all quality standards and specifications
Mentor, monitor and motivate teams to achieve productivity and engagement
Ensure adherence to company procedures and policies
Suggest improvements to company procedures
Job Requirements
First-hand experience in developing large landscape gardening and parks
Excellent knowledge and extensive experience in growing trees, shrubs, grass, and flowers in Kenya
Experience in managing projects with huge water features will be an added advantage
20 years plus knowledge in both exortic and indigenous trees, shrubs and flowers
Can work with and manage subcontractors
Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
